I've always thought the P-40 looked best in desert camo. Here's one I built back in the mid 90s. I made a long-tail P-40F by splicing the tail of a Hasegawa N onto an E airframe. I also deleted the carb intake on top of the nose, modified the chin intake and cowl flaps to more closely resemble the Merlin-powered F, and used the late-style N exhausts. The paint is Gunze Dark Earth and Middlestone, with a custom mix for the Azure Blue underside. Decals are from an ancient Microscale sheet.
