American Airlines three biggest unions have announced they will support a potential takeover of AA by US Airways Group. The Allied Pilots, Proffesional Flight Attendants, and Transport Workers Unions have reached an agreement on terms terms for collective bargaining agreements in the event of a merger with the Arizona based carrier. The merged carrier would be called American Airlines and Headquarters would continue @ Ft. Worth. US Airways took over America West a few years ago and just a very few years before that you almost could have bought USAIR for pocket change as it was failing and well in the sights of United Airlines before clawing its way out of financial devistation. USAIR enjoys a love/hate relationship with it's customers over charges and in flight issues and levels of service.

Anyway to get the Unions OUT of the Airline Business? $35 an hour in NY to throw bags on the tarmac is insulting the rest of us. Worse than Wallstreet!!!

Much as you'd like it to, doing that will NOT make fares come down even a nickle. US SCARE has amongst the highest fare structures and charges you for things like pressurized air and lighting in the cabin, pillows, blankets, and food and they're pretty much non union.
