Fred C. Dobbs says 'Treasure of the Sierra Madre' Correct Inspector, the character was Gold Hat. Why does Fred C. Dobbs sound familiar? Was that the actor? Today's: "Strike that, reverse it." That is all, Major Tom

Today's: "My Morse is so rusty; I could be sending him dimensions on playmate of the month" I forget the name of the character, (I suppose I *could* look it up) but that was uttered by the Captain of the USS Dallas in 'The Hunt For Red October', while sending a message via the Dallas' periscope signal lamp to Captain Ramius aboard the Red October. Fade to Black...

Fade to Black... Correct Steve. It was Captain Bart Mancuso. Now, Let's catch up a little: "Strike that, reverse it" was Willy Wonka from "Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory." "Sit down, both of you...good." Was Lieutenant Kaffee from "A Few Good Men." "I can't deal with the cleaning up. Let's sell the house." was Marilyn Lovell from "Apollo 13." And finally: "Do you have to use so many cuss words?" "What the F**k are you talking about ?" was Cowboy and "Duke" Lebowski from "The Big Lebowski." Today's: "Never in the field of human conflict have so many owed so much to so few." That is all, Major Tom

Winston Churchill, commenting on the pilots who fought (and won) the Battle of Britain. The quote was shown as text on the screen at the end of the iconic film. Strangely, when it was first released on DVD the film had a slightly different ending..the music was different, and instead of the iconic "few" quote, it used another from Churchill: "This is not the end, nor is it the beginning of the end, but it is the end of the beginning." The collector's anniversary edition has the more familiar ending (and also an alternate audio track with the original, rejected music score.)

Correct Steve, It was ol' Winnie from "Battle of Britain." Loved the Polish pilots scene, of course, and thanks for the additional trivia. Steve O., pay attention, you never know. ;D Today's: "Just like a Wop to bring a knife to a gunfight." That is all, Major Tom P.S. If you Folks would like to join in with your own quotes and answers, feel free.
