I found this photo of a forlorn Bf 109F of 2 Staffel JG52 on epay... as you can see it came in two pieces! Thankfully each original image was large. (2000+ pixels wide each) I stitched 'em together, did some cleanup and restoration and voila! The swastika actually looks pretty crapola, so I may go back and fix that in the future. We'll see... it's not a big priority at the moment. Fade to Black...

I hadn't had a chance to go through this thread until now. Very cool stuff, thanks for posting these and thanks for all the pointers.

Yessiree... sorry for making umpteen gazillion posts rapid-fire, but sometimes I can't stop once I get going. Anyhoo, as to pointers... if you wanna do something in PS but are not sure how, yell... I'll try to give a hand. There's also alotta good tutorials online. And I think I've hit a brick wall on the whole 'stripping paint' thing. It can be done, of that I'm sure. But to do it well would take alot more time and effort than I am willing to expend at the moment. Anyhoo, I forgot about this one... the original photo was posted by someone over on Hyperscale. I wanted to try something fairly new that I'd not really done before and it was a good candidate... Andrew White photo Fade to Black...

Here's one I just did on the fly... kinda ugly, but it's the fun that counts. A friend recently opened a hobby shop in my neck of the woods, and another friend brought his ride out to the shop yesterday to show it off... Word's gotten around, and now everyone wants a picture of their ride out front'a the '8'... ;D Fade to Black...

MONKEEMOBILE built by Dean Jefferies, Munster Coach/Dragula both by George Barris, Coach done in about two weeks from start to ready to film, Dragula built as an after thought, both used the then brand new 289 C.I./271 horse HIPO Ford.
The TV BATMOBILE (the 1940's movie serial car was either a Plymouth or a De Soto coupe) was Barris again redoing the 1954 Lincoln 'car show season dream car FUTURA' it was in a Glen Ford, Debbie Reynolds fluff movie too in about 1957.

Love it! What about the Munster Mobile? Bat Mobile? I'd actually thought about the Batmobile and a few others, but settled on the Monkee Mobile because it's something of an inside joke amongst a few folks here locally. I'm thinking of doing some more of these... with more famous vehicles. Kinda like those viral Photoshop 'competitions' you see where eighteen gazillion people take a photo and do their own thing with it in Photoshop. I dunno how long that would last though... I get bored quickly and chopping the same photo a bazillion times will get old real-fast-like. Hey.., that gentlemen was a Navigator in my Dad's Bomb Group. !! Hah! Thought that photo looked familiar. What a co-inky-dink... groovy! A small world it is, sometimes, eh? Your buddies LTD II is a fairly rare creature these days- That's what I hear... mostly from my buddy, but that's what I hear. Fade to Black...

Another simple one... I was out taking some snaps of the moon last night and was fortunate enough to get a good cloud pass. I knew the Moon was going to be totally washed out so took another shot of just the Moon on different settings, then combined the two to get this. Fade to Black...

Last night the wife broke out her telescope so we could view the moon. It was so pretty and the detail was amazing. We could see the craters and watch the moon rotate on it's axis. Some really big craters up there.
