Considering TIGHAR's history I got a kick out of this quote, Gillespie's take on a theory that doesn't agree with his.

Gillespie said, "There is no evidence that that's what happened. There are lots and lots of stories that people tell. Anecdotal recollections, witness testimony, old memories. Most of them conflict with each other and they all have one thing in common: there's no evidence to back them up."

TIGHAR and Mr Gillespie have been trying to prove this theory for many years, but still have nothing but circumstantial evidence to back it. Granted, it is quite a bit of evidence, but still, all circumstantial and taking a certain fact and spinning their own interpretation of what it means.
- It would be nice if they DID find some kind of irrefutable evidence and finally put this myth to rest.

Jim Broshot: Since nobody has responded in the last month and a half. The only Naval Museums I have ever been to are in Oregon: Tillamook Air Museum (housed in an old blimp hanger, used to be a Naval Air Museum but seems to have gotten away from that specialty. http:/ Oct 7, 2017 22:38:53 GMT -5
