I'm sad to report the loss of a good friend and US Aircraft member who posted here under the name GLV. (see his posts here: usaircraft.proboards.com/user/205/recent). I knew George for about thirteen years and we became great friends. He was a Korea and Vietnam vet which was very proud of his Air Force career and had a near perfect memory, he could go on for hours if we both had the time. He was a great and selfless person all around. It's been a few days but I'm at a loss for words again at the moment; it's taken me twenty minutes to get this much down. The purpose of my website is to help do my small part to make sure the men and machines are not forgotten. If there was ever someone that deserved to not be forgotten it's George. Late last week I started working on a memorial page for him which will be permanent on the site. I plan to add more information about him and his service as it becomes available. Please read more if you have a few moments: www.aviationatwar.com/memoriam.php
