Edwin Eugene "Buzz" Aldrin is an American engineer and former astronaut, and the second person to walk on the Moon. He was the Lunar Module Pilot on Apollo 11, the first manned lunar landing in history. He graduated 3rd in his class at West Point in 1951. He trained as a fighter pilot, was sent to Korea, flew 66 combat missions in F-86 Sabre's and shot down 2 Mig-15 jets.  |

Just before my Dad died earlier this year and I was at his home and found some personal papers of his and while he was at Boeing - I found some correspondence that he and my Dad had shared together. My Dad worked with NASA for the better part of his career and forged a friendship with Buzz Aldrin for many unspecified years and decided to leave as it is.
